Bulgarian Dance Workshop   --   Friday, May 9, 2008

  • biographical information on the Web for Yuliyan ... and for Vlado

We dance to soulful music from many countries, including Armenia, Brittany, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, and Transylvania.

Every evening begins with an hour of teaching. Most of our folk dances are line dances, so you don't need a partner. Wear whatever you find comfortable, including soft-soled shoes or sneakers.

Folk dancing includes many easy village dances, as well as complex dances that are energizing to do or to watch. Folk dancing provides relaxation, mild exercise, a friendly atmosphere, and air conditioning (at the Suzanne Patterson Center). So why don't you break away from the TV set and come have some fun?
